A couple of initial impressions.
It’s good to occasionally see real Americans on TV.
In her early career Ileana Ros-Lehtinen was my Congress Person. I’m impressed with her progress. I will attempt to separate her statement from the transcript of the full Petraeus hearing. I will obtain the full Transcript.

Onward and upward then. The Chair of the hearings had some early disrupters removed. Eventually he stated that (paraphrased) -any further disruptions will not only be removed, but prosecuted under ‘xx’ DC Statutes- . I’d really like a followup as to whether any ‘Book, Bail & Prosecution’ is actually undertaken. The disrupters were mostly ‘Code Pinkos’, screaming, chanting and holding placards. Since these ‘its’ are paid by the DNC in the long run, I wonder if they weren’t doing their job by showing up. One notable was a tall woman in a black something, with an upside-down US Flag comprising the top of the ’something’. Oh Boy, If I Were King. But I digress.

Someway it seems to me that an open meeting in a Capitol Conference room on Capitol Hill with 2 Full Committees, open invitations to Congress and Senate, (many took the invite), CSpan, Accredited Press, NonAccredited press for that matter, and open doors to ‘John & Jane Doe’ to observe, should satisfy our desire for open procedures. It furthers no citizen’s ‘First Amendment rights’ to disrupt ‘My’ proceedings. It would be an interesting survey among these ‘protestors’ as to whether ‘ANY’ had ever contacted their own local Congressional Representatives or Senators for ‘redress’ in relation to any of their ‘concerns’ about their government. Strange to think that it belongs to those who don’t understand The Constitution, as well as those wish to destroy ‘The Constitution’.
My guess would be that these folks have never contacted their congress people and may never even vote, or for that matter, may vote ‘a lot’.

The hearings began like a circus. I’m always suspicious of the Sociacrats when they act clumsy, it’s hard to watch ‘all three cards’ when they pretend to stumble. They forgot to hand out the printed copies of The General’s and The Ambassador’s opening addresses. While they stumbled through that distraction, it became apparent that the microphones for The General and The Ambassador had not been tested beforehand and did not work, again ‘watch my hands, not the cards’.

General Petraeus was very concise and articulate when the circus finally gave him a working microphone.
Counter to all the hype about what might be said, and what the various permutations could mean, what mattered was what actually was said. Again The General gave a very well prepared report which had been reported ‘up the chain of command’ as expected, but The General emphasized that it had been written by Himself and Nobody Else and had not been reported elsewhere until the time of his report to the committee. This will be considered as ‘Sworn’ Testimony before Congress.
Rather than interpret, I would advise all interested parties to obtain a true transcript of the actual words as opposed to listening to mine or anyone elses ‘Spin’. We are all educated readers of English, let’s use it.

Just a note to the Bush haters; A General would not perjure his testimony or endanger his career for an elected official.
